Who Will Lock the Starting Position for Ohio State Quarterback?
The Ohio State football program went through three quarterbacks this year. Braxton Miller who was supposed to be the starter for last year, then after Miller got hurt J.T. Barrett came in and became he Big Ten Freshman of the Year who rewrote Ohio State and Big Ten record books. Then J.T Barrett got hurt and Cardale Jones came in and just 3 starts he won the Sugar Bowl and a national title. Best case scenario for OSU is Cardale Jones as the starter in 2015 with J.T. Barrett as backup. Jones seems to have the highest ceiling. The key for Urban Meyer is to get Jones and Barrett to stay, so Ohio State is covered at QB the next two seasons. As for Braxton Miller, he needs to find a team where he can start next season. I don’t think it’s in his best interest to stay in Columbus. Although Braxton Miller is a two-time silver football award winner as the Big Ten's top player, he is coming off a collarbone injury and I don't think Ohio State will have him start when they have Cardale Jones who won them a national title and the Sugar Bowl. Also freshman J.T. Barrett is really good too so it is a toss up between Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett; personally I think Cardale Jones will start for them. He was a third-stringer coming in to the year and through injury he finally got his shot to shine and he did really well when the spot light was all on him. I think we will see Cardale Jones as defending championship Ohio Stats's starting quarterback.
